We have so many plans for 2024 and cant wait to get stuck in with our stars! We have new signings coming from our recent auditons and have taken the decision to leave our books open for a short while longer!
BUT our books are open only for boys aged 5 to 10 years old!

A supportive family and parents/guardians is so important for young performers, and we wish you all a wonderful happy christmas together.

The Importance of Professional Headshots
High quality headshots are key to breaking into the acting world. It’s just a fact. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter how talented you are, without the right headshot, the chances of being discovered plummet. Headshots are business cards for actors; a good headshot catches the casting director’s eye, a great one stays in their mind for future castings.
We get it, that’s a lot to ask of a single photo! Here is Cooper Lennon’s guide on all things headshots.
A good headshot should be an accurate representation of how you look in real life. Ideally with a neutral expression, plain background and simple non-distracting clothing. The reality is casting directors can get thousands of submissions for a role they are casting. That means hundreds of pages of headshots on their computer screens that they need to sort through before deciding who they want to see for an audition. If your headshot doesn’t catch the casting director’s eye you won’t have a chance. Your headshot needs to stand out, it has to have life and personality.
When choosing a photographer, remember that headshot photography is much different to other forms of photography. You need to find a photographer who specialises in headshots.
If you are looking at a photographer’s website and the photos look too glamorous or overly touched up that isn’t the photographer you want. You want photos that look natural.
If your photographer suggests using props such a balls, sunglasses, food, flowers, toys or letter blocks – this isn’t the photographer you want. You want photos that capture only the young performer in a professional headshot.
If your photographer suggests that to be successful you need 10 -15 headshots – this isn’t the photographer you want. You want a photographer who will read the brief sent by your agent and supply you with what is requested. We ask our young performers for three shots including one full length. You may be offered the opportunity to purchase more shots for your own use, but this should not be mandatory.
Child headshots need to be age appropriate. If your child is 12 they need to look and dress like a 12 year old, not 16. If makeup is even necessary it needs to be very light and natural.
